General Mood
Strong tastes and preferences. A natural socialite. Enthusiastic and forceful about likes and dislikes. Emotionally involved, with a large emotional range that reflects and reinforces the values of the community.
Description
Ardent. The ESE has a wide spectrum of powerful emotions and is capable of staying true to the vision of their youth throughout their whole life. Henry Schliemann decided in childhood to excavate Troy; to achieve that dream he got an education despite poverty, and made himself rich.
An admirer of the arts as a source of pleasure. The ESE creates their own mood and knows how to make it contagious. Emotionally fine, kind, compassionate.
Untiring. Always active, always mixing with people, rushing to and fro. They can easily switch between tasks and work very diligently. They do not prefer one errand to another — all should be accomplished, interesting or not. This is not for discussion or analysis; the work simply must be done.
They appear very self-assured and self-satisfied, as if succeeding without effort. Yet they may not see it that way themselves — and so they greatly appreciate sincere compliments for their work.
My home is your home. The ESE is a pleasant interlocutor and a very attentive listener. They can find the right key to any person. They take joy in making others happy and revel in table talk and merriment. All their considerate attention goes to their guest.
They are capable of understanding people, admiring them, approving of their actions, and expressing compassion. They trust people, are distant from envy, and take pleasure in the successes of others. They detect flaws accurately and make fun of them — without any intent to insult.
Traditionalist. The ESE does not seek new solutions, preferring older, time-tested methods. To solve intricate problems they need to work alone — they give too much attention to people around them and would be distracted otherwise. When working among others they make many unnecessary movements, as if to disguise what they are really doing. In this way they draw their dual (the LII) into activity — who does not tolerate a commanding tone.
They love to be trusted at their word, without being asked to substantiate what they say. Not aggressive, but they defend themselves very actively. They will not let even their superiors offend them.
Adherent of order. The ESE loves to dress well and cares for their appearance. They cannot tolerate disorder in anything — from their wardrobe to their garage. Compliments on their appearance are ineffective; they believe they already know better how they look. They notice not just the spiritual qualities of a partner, but the physical ones too.
Relationships in life. People around them usually respect their opinion but try not to stay too long — it is not easy to withstand their emotional charge. For the same reason they have few very close friends. They reach goals through their own hard work and do not count on others. What they value most is family. Given a choice between love and a career, they choose the first.

ESE is the extrovert that even other extroverts find energising — the person who somehow knows everyone in the room and makes each of them feel like the most important one. They are natural hosts, instinctively warm, and tend to leave people feeling better than when they arrived.
Beneath the sociability is a quiet stubbornness. ESEs dislike being told something cannot be done and will push forward on enthusiasm and conviction where others would have given up. They are frequently underestimated as workers — the social ease can obscure a genuine capacity for effort and follow-through.
Their thinking runs toward possibility rather than prediction. They brainstorm well, generate energy around ideas, and bring people together around a vision — though stress-testing that vision against hard constraints is less natural territory. The centrist, consensus-seeking tendency reflects a genuine desire to keep everyone included rather than a lack of conviction.
