Typing reports — the written typing service now runs end to end: pay through Stripe, the 20-question questionnaire opens the moment payment completes, and the report comes back as a PDF within the tier's turnaround. Standard is £40 (5 working days), Express £65 (48 hours), and the Couples report £75 or £120. The Standard tier is currently half price, £20, for the first 25 clients — an experiment to find out whether the price was what stalled it at £40. Reports are produced with AI assistance from the framework developed here and reviewed before they are sent, which the page now states plainly. Still to do: reconciling payments against questionnaire submissions is manual, so a payment where the questionnaire is never completed has to be spotted by hand.
Display advertising — Google AdSense is no longer being pursued. The initial application was rejected, a resubmission on 1 August was not approved, and the AdSense script was removed from every page on 14 August; no ads have ever been served here. The ad slots themselves stay in place, since they also carry the contextual promo cards. The Newor Media arrangement has since ended, so their authorised-sellers list has been taken down and /ads.txt is back to the site's own single publisher line. The sidebar was widened to clear the 300px minimum a Monumetric application needs. Nothing is live yet — until a network is signed, the site carries no advertising.
YouTube channel — the @SocionicsInsight channel is live, with the first videos in the relations series published. More episodes in that series are in production, followed by the 16 types, then famous people typings.
Near term
Socion app — the Socionics-based matching app has been live at socion.app since March 2026, covering dating, friendship, networking, and team building. It is now an installable progressive web app with offline support and push notifications, and carries a free AI typing chat, Quadra Rooms, Boards, points and referrals, and a paid Premium tier at $14.99/year. The matching logic is open source and auditable. Recent work has been on the data layer rather than on features — access-control fixes, making the database schema rebuildable from the migrations in the repo, and running lint and build on every pull request — and that is where the immediate priority stays.
Search performance — the search titles and descriptions on all 16 type profiles were rewritten on 20 August, against a measured 1.12% click-through rate from an average position of 6.9. The four-week measurement window on those pages has now ended, so the next step is reading Search Console against that baseline before changing them again. The 30 July reduction in indexable pages wants the same treatment.
Additional content — further articles and expanded function pages are ongoing. Priority is guided by Search Console data as it accumulates. Per-type social sharing images are now live on every type profile, and the You and Them pair explorer has a sharing card for every pair of types.
Quiz improvements — the type quiz is functional, and its result screen is the main route into the typing service. The next iteration waits on the funnel numbers from Umami — how many people who see the result click through, and how many of those reach checkout. Since then, close results offer a tie-breaker, results can be emailed, and the in-depth Type Finder is in an open pilot until 23 October.
Longer term
Socion for Teams — a pilot is running: two people already typed, one report covering the relation between them, aimed at co-founders and working pairs rather than romantic matches. The process is deliberately manual and billed one-off, separate from Premium. Whether it becomes a product depends on what the pilot shows.
App stores — the app already meets the bar for a Trusted Web Activity, so Google Play is the realistic first step: it wraps the existing site rather than rebuilding it. A native app remains possible later, but is not planned work.
Academic / research angle — the Socion app generates the first large-scale empirical dataset on Socionics intertype relations in the English-speaking world. Match outcomes, conversation length by relation type, and stated vs revealed relation preferences are all trackable. Academic partnership is a longer-term possibility.
Not planned
- MBTI integration or hybrid typing — this site covers Socionics specifically
- Forum, comments or open community features on the main site. The existing Socionics communities (Reddit, Discord) and Socion serve that need. Reader experiences may be collected and featured in curated form, but there are no open discussion spaces.
- Paid content or paywalls on the reference material — the theory content stays free. The paid work is the typing reports and Socion Premium, both of which sit alongside it rather than gating it
