Reference
The core material: the pages that describe the system itself, maintained as a reference work rather than as articles. A full profile for each of the 16 types, a page on each of the eight information elements, one for every intertype relation, the small groups that cut across all sixteen, Model A, the glossary, and over a hundred side-by-side comparisons for the type pairs people most often confuse. These are the pages most worth bookmarking, and they are all on Reference.
Tools
Free to use, and none of them store anything anywhere but your own browser. The Socionics test is twelve questions for a working hypothesis. The compatibility tool takes any two types and names the relation between them, with a full 16×16 matrix behind it. There is also a dual finder, a conflict tool, a disambiguator for when you have narrowed it to two types and cannot get past it, a group mapper for a whole team or family, and a private people list. Printable PDFs
Free, and with no email address required. The downloads page has a 10-page guide to all 16 intertype relations, and single-page reference cards for the 16 types, the relations and the four quadras.
Reading
Longer writing and worked examples. The articles cover theory, cognitive functions, quadra dynamics and how the framework applies outside the textbook. Apps and services
- Socion — the matching app built on intertype relations, at socion.app. Free to join, with a premium tier for anyone who wants the full experience.
- Typing reports — a written analysis of your own questionnaire answers, with the reasoning shown, for when the test and the profiles have left you between two types. This is the one paid thing on the site, and it is entirely optional: nothing in the reference material above depends on it.
