IEE's Ne tends to fire most readily around people — their potential, their inner contradictions, the possibilities within relationships and personal situations. The characteristic IEE question is "what could this person become?" or "what is really going on with them?"
ILE's Ne tends to fire most readily around ideas — theories, systems, unexpected connections between apparently unrelated fields. The characteristic ILE question is "what if these two things are actually the same structure?" or "what are the implications of this that no one has noticed yet?"
A second question: what makes you most uncomfortable? IEE's Fi means that interpersonal insensitivity — treating someone carelessly, missing what they actually need — registers as a significant wrong. ILE's Ti means that logical imprecision — a badly defined term, a structurally flawed argument — registers as uncomfortable in a way that pure feeling errors might not.
